Young Mom's Life is Saved
Gina Mischel's Heart Stopped Just Outside the Doors of the Providence Everett Emergency Department
One night Gina Mischel, a mother of four young children, awoke with intense chest pain.
In a panic, her husband, Aaron, drove Gina to Providence Everett. Once they parked, Gina said she felt fine. But moments later, she was slumped in her seat. Aaron couldn’t find a pulse. He started CPR with Gina lying on the sidewalk just outside the Providence Emergency Department and called for help.
“We’re 10 minutes away from one of the best hospitals in the nation." -Gina Mischel, heart attack survivor
