Providence cares for all

Sisters of Providence foundress Mother Emelie Gamelin dedicated her life to serving the poor. When you give to the fund bearing her name, you help us provide help to patients in need. Donations help patients and their families access a wide variety of help with basic needs, such as food, clothing, transportation, and prescription medication.

Your gift will ensure that under resourced patients will receive the items they need to make a smooth transition from hospital to home.

Medication Assistance

Medication assistance is available to patients who meet requirements to ensure they receive the medication needed for their care.

One of the most requested needs through the Mother Gamelin Fund is transportation through cab rides, gas cards and wheelchairs. The lack of reliable transportation is one of the main reasons a patient is unable to seek the care they need.

Patients from throughout Oregon and northern California come to Providence Medford Medical Center for care. Housing vouchers enable patients to stay in guest housing or local hotels while receiving care.
