Help bring faster, even better care to our community
Give Now

Oregonians have been depending on Providence for exceptional care for more than 150 years. But as our population has grown, so has our community’s health care needs.

We’re re-imagining emergency and cardiac care – but we can’t do it alone.

Generous donors are leading the way. You can join them, and together, we can ensure patients have access to exceptional care when and where they need it most.

To date, donors have generously given $132 million toward that goal, and real progress is underway. Your gift will help us reach the finish line.

Tomorrow Starts Today Campaign underway to address Portland’s most urgent health care challenges

In May 2024 Providence Oregon announced the launch of Tomorrow Starts Today, the most ambitious fundraising campaign in its history. The goal was to raise $144 million to expand hospital capacity on the east and west sides of the city and improve the speed of care.

To date, donors have generously given $132 million toward that goal, and real progress is underway. Your gift will help us reach the finish line.

When the campaign closes, Providence St. Vincent and Providence Portland Medical Centers will support an additional 50,000 emergency visits annually – the equivalent of adding another emergency department to Portland.

And an expansion and redesign of Providence Heart Institute will bring all critical heart services together on one floor so caregivers can more efficiently respond to patients needing the most intensive care.

Why Providence and why a campaign?

As a not-for-profit health system, Providence’s Mission is rooted in providing compassionate care to everyone, with a special focus on those most vulnerable.

As our populations grow and age, so is the need for emergency and cardiac care. More patients need help. Many are older and sicker than before, requiring more complex care, longer stays and more advanced technology. Behavioral health needs across all age groups are on the rise, and hospital systems need to be able to respond quickly and safely to community needs.

Philanthropy is vital to responding to urgent needs – Tomorrow Starts Today aims to raise $144 million to support $177 million in capital improvements. These projects would simply not be possible without community support.

Your support can expand emergency and cardiac care across Portland. Together, we can secure a brighter health care future for everyone:
