When Renate was pregnant with her son, Gabriel, she received the devastating news that his brain might not develop and he would most likely live with severe impairment. With thanks in large part to the faithful supporters of Providence Child Center, Gabriel will celebrate his 14th birthday later this year.

Gabriel has lived at Providence Center for Medically Fragile Children since he was two years old. He is blind and non-verbal, experiences daily seizures and has required multiple medical procedures to alleviate pain. At the center, he has access to an array of skilled nurses and specialists, all working together on how best to care for and communicate with Gabriel.

Renate is beyond grateful for their Providence family and for twelve years of around-the-clock care that allows Gabriel to live his best life.
