Women and Children's Health
Providence Milwaukie Foundation
Donations fund programs to support the health and well-being of women and children in our community.
Your gift makes a difference for families
Excellent health care for women and babies during a pivotal time in their lives is of utmost importance. Your support ensures the families who come to us receive the best and most compassionate care close to home.
Donor support allows us to make care available for families close to home. We can offer appointments in the evenings and on weekends, making it easy for moms and babies to get the care they need when they need it. Gifts also provide educational materials and training for our caregivers who care for pregnant women experiencing substance abuse.
Mother and Baby Clinic
The Mother and Baby Clinic at Providence Milwaukie Hospital helps ensure that newborns benefit from breastfeeding and overcome issues such as jaundice and weight loss. For moms, the clinic cares for high blood pressure, breast issues and postpartum depression.
Project Nurture is a low-barrier outpatient substance abuse treatment program for pregnant people. Participants receive prenatal care and drug treatment as early in their pregnancy as possible. They receive peer support, case management and advocacy services throughout.
Reach Out and Read
Reach Out and Read is a national program that supplies free books to children ages 6 months to 5 years at every well child doctor’s visit. Donations help support this effort to increase access to reading material for all children, especially those who may be facing barriers.
