Don Benton Cancer Patient Assistance
Providence Hood River
Provides services focusing on integrative methods of healing and emotional well-being through support groups and other services.
Give hope to cancer patients and their families
Providence Cancer Institute treats more people with cancer than anyone else in Oregon, bringing patients personalized care plans and targeted therapies. Residents of the Columbia Gorge receive this world-class care close to home at Providence Hood River.
Your gifts can enhance cancer care at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital by providing support services, new equipment and technology.
Comfort packs
Donations help us provide patients at the Providence Hood River Cancer Center with a comfort pack when starting chemotherapy. The packs include a blanket, neck pillow, journal, coloring book, water bottle and more items to help them during their journey.
Support services
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the patient assistance program included foot massage. We are close to resuming this vital service. In addition, the cancer center is pleased to resume support groups for patients and their families in 2022, thanks to funding from generous donors.
Resources
Generous donations help us offer free cancer prevention cookbooks, as well as a lending library full of books to borrow about living with cancer.
