Additional Rooms
Providence Benedictine Nursing Center
These gifts support additional rooms to better serve patients and residents.
Expand care for patients and residents
Your gifts will help us create two
additional rooms to treat patients on the Transitional Care Unit - for patients who are at Benedictine for therapy after a hospital stay - in the
privacy of their own room. Because the needs of the patients we serve have
become increasingly complex, private rooms are essential.
Your gifts can also help add a hospice room at Orchard House.
We will relocate the items
currently in the existing spaces and establish rooms that have new flooring,
lighting and equipment to optimally serve patients.
Private rooms
Donors can create two private rooms on the Transitional Care Unit to bring the total rooms to 28. Flooring and lighting will be replaced and window air-conditioning will be added.
Common space improvements
Improvements to two areas for enhanced care services include creating a low stimulation room with a comfortable armchair, sound machine and non-fluorescent lighting. The other space will have a TV with cable, a computer for internet access and gaming options.
Hospice room
Donations will help us add a hospice room at Orchard House to provide comfort care for patients nearing end of life. The new room will include a hide-a-bed couch for a loved one to stay, as well as cable television and kitchen necessities for making hot beverages and snacks.
